PACE Networks Gains National Grid Type Registration
PACE Networks is proud to have received National Grid Type Registration for its range of composite 400kV insulators. Insulators in lengths of 3400mm and 4100mm were tested and the new approvals complement PACE’s existing TRs for insulator string hardware, conductor fittings and vibration equipment.
This registration adds a new offering to the National Grid portfolio which has historically included glass and porcelain insulators only. A next-generation insulator, composite insulators have the benefit of being lightweight, easy to handle and install, a high strength to weight ratio and high saline and pollution performance. Its slimmer design not only makes it more aesthetically pleasing but also more cost-effective.
Stocked in the UK, PACE Networks supplies a wide range of composite insulators in partnership with Rebosio, part of the Bonomi Group. Rebosio’s no compromise approach to the design of their insulators and manufacturing, provides a cost-effective product that is interchangeable with current infrastructure, has higher creepage distance and reduced risk of flashover. With over 60 years of composite insulator experience and European manufacturing, Rebosio has played a key role in proliferating the use of composite insulators across Europe – and now the UK.
